We're a small estate in Bardou, not a hotel chain. We keep our live availability on Booking.com because it does a job we're happy to let someone else do — showing what's free, on which dates, at what price, for how many people.

But once you've found the week you want, write to us direct. You'll be talking to the people who actually live on the estate — which means we can tailor the stay to what you're actually here for: a family gathering, a quiet week of writing, a retreat with friends, a wedding weekend. Booking.com is a booking engine. We're the hosts. Most of our returning guests book this way.

Come back to us
to plan the stay properly.

Once you've found the dates that work, email us with the house and the week — we'll confirm availability within a few hours and hold it while you decide.

Book direct and you get us personally. We'll ask what you're here for and shape the week around it — which house makes sense for your group, which market day to plan around, which producer to visit for the wine, which chef to call if you don't want to cook one night. Booking.com can't do any of that.

Usual reply: a few hours, often sooner
A note on timing: peak weeks in June, July and August go months ahead, and we can't hold a week indefinitely. Write early, even if your dates aren't final — we'd rather talk to you sooner than tell you later that we're full.

Before you book
— three things worth knowing.

How the houses work

Each of the five houses is fully self-catering, with its own kitchen, terrace, and entrance. Linen and towels included, Wi-Fi through the estate, cleaned between stays rather than daily. No reception desk. You will find a kitchen stocked for cooking real meals under the walnut trees — including the walnut trees.

Coming with a group

For reunions, birthdays, or friend-group weeks, book all five houses. The estate sleeps 34 across 17 bedrooms, and the courtyard, pool, tennis court and grounds become yours for the dates you hold. Whole-estate enquiries don't go through Booking.com — write to us direct from the start.

The best times to visit

We open in April and close in late October. May, June and September are our favourites — long evenings, markets in full swing, fewer crowds. July and August are high season: pool weather, busy, warm. Undecided on dates? Email and we'll tell you honestly which weeks are quietest.
